The book is divided into British, American, French, German, and Belgian sections with essays by Clive Holland, Charles H. Caffin, Horsley Hinton, and Enrico Thovez. Among the artists are Steichen, Coburn, and Stieglitz. Nicely traces the progression of photography during the late-19th and early-20th centuries.
