| Notes | From the Publishers: It is the goal of The Tabby to chronicle both the historic Arts & Crafts Movement and its current-day revival. We see our purpose as providing a forum for well-written disourse, for analysis and thoughtful historical narrative, for well-founded criticism, for the occasional wandering contemplation, and for the frequent whimsical asides. We wish to encourage debate and welcome dissention but desire in the end accord and comprehension. It is also a goal of The Tabby to make each issue not just a work of substance, but a work of craft. We will encourage artists to produce woodcuts and linoleum cuts to illustrate the words we print. Each issue will be letterpress printed and then handbound with needle and thread. By stating our means of production, we do not mean to imply that the craft is more important than the material we are printing; merely that it is an extension of it. One side feeds the other.
