After William Morris succeeded in infusing a new life into English Decorative Art, it passed through several conspicuous phases. This is the first of a series of volumes which recorded the course which Decorative Art pursued during the preceding quarter of a century. It focuses on woven and printed fabrics, wallpapers, lace and embroidery.
