NotesThis is a small collection of catalogs printed by The Roycrofters at their shop in East Aurora, New York ranging from 1899 to 1903. There are two 1902 catalogs, both with largely the same information, however, the differences are enough to not consider one a duplicate of the other.

In between pages 6 and 7 of one of the catalogs is a page of tipped-in images of Rudolf Roycroft von Liebich, musical director of the Roycroft Shop, and "Uncle Albert" - This page of tipped-in images does not exist in the other 1902 catalog. Page 10 in one of the 1902 catalogs is "Books by Elbert Hubbard" while in the other catalog it is "Fine Bindings"

In both catalogs, between pages 10 and 11, there is a page of tipped-in images - both have "Baba defying the Beef Trust" and "The Roycroft Chapel", however, in one catalog these are black and white tipped-in images, while in the other catalog, these appear to be a cyanotype of the same image. Page 11 in one catalog is "Fine Bindings" while the other is "Books by Elbert Hubbard".

The typefacing on page 12 is different between both catalogs; one catalogs page is printed in all uppercase with decorative drop caps lettering, while the other catalog is a very plain print of mixed case with very simple drop caps.

Both 1902 catalogs have tipped-in images of "The Phalanstery" and "Elbert Hubbard and son Sanford", however, one catalogs images of "The Phalanstery" appears to be a cyanotype.

In one of the 1902 catalogs, there is a page of tipped-in images of "At the Roycroft Camp" and "Recess Time". This is in the same catalog that has "Rudolf Roycroft von Liebich" and "Uncle Albert" and does not exist in the other 1902 catalog.

Pages 30, 31 and 32 are unpaginated in one of the 1902 catalogs.

The inner back flaps differ in typeface and coloring of print.

The outside covers vary greatly - different fonts were used for both of the front covers. The back cover of one of the 1902 catalogs has an illustration of a wrought-iron hanging lamp; the other catalog has an inspiration saying: "Art is the uplifting of the beautiful so all can see and enjoy".
